A little pricey, but easy to use
I bought these for my daughter, who is currently a little younger than 18 months. She picked up on how to use them quickly after I showed her how to do it. Now they are a regular at our arts and craft times. The fact that they are self contained makes them great for travel (nobody wants a bored baby). She has learned how to stamp them on people, but luckily, it takes her a little effort. They must have improved the duck, because our yellow shows up nice and crisp on paper. We will take our first plane trip this summer, so I am going to buy the other set of stampers.
Fun Little Stampers…my 3 and 5 year old love em!
I had a coupon for these and thought I would give them a try since my kids love stampers. I like that they are self inking and don’t dry out. I also like that they are washable. They are also large enough to easily find amongst our drawers full of “crafty stuff”. I realize that they are geared for toddlers, but I got them for my 3.5 year old and 5.5 year old kids and they had a great time stamping up their paper.
Each stamper stamps a little face of the animal character that houses it. The stamper itself is up inside the animal about a half inch and the stamper has to be turned upside down and pushed down to make the little plunger stamp the image. This is great for younger kids as they won’t just inadvertently rub ink all over everything. The crocodile and beaver stamps are very cute. The duck would be cute if you could see it better. The yellow ink just doesn’t show up well on white paper…haven’t tried it on different colored paper yet.
The only thing I would say that my kids didn’t like about these stamps was that they couldn’t stamp their hands (something they love to do)….although I realize this may be a good selling point for some parents…LOL! They seem to only stamp on very flat surfaces i.e. paper on a table. Other than that, I think they do what they are supposed to do and can bring some real enjoyment to kids of many ages.
