LOVE these!
My 22 month old loves these! They fit her hand perfectly, and I didn’t even have to show her how to use them. She colors with them almost every day.

I’ve read the reviews and had to write my own. My 2 year old has been using these since she was just over a year old. She loves them. She’s never bitten them or broken them. But she does color with them. She carries them around like they’re her little pets. And YES they do completely wash off if she decides to write on herself. These rock! And if you have a child that may bite them off as I read in other reviews. I’m assuming they’d bite regular crayons too! Maybe try supervision as you would with any new toy. 
Oh and they’re non-toxic!
Excellent first time crayons for age appropriate toddlers
I must admit I am surprised by the amount of complaints posted here. I bought these for my 15 month old and they were a huge hit, and still are at 22 months of age. (Although now the traingular markers and finger paints are more excititng for him.)
The crayons should not come out of the holders unless the TaDoodle is held and twisted in a certain direction. One direction raises the crayon and the other direction lowers it.
However, to agree with some of the cons, my little guy did taste test the green crayon on two ocassions, at which time I decided he could only color under my supervision. Problem solved. He does NOT do this anymore, and he even knows the marks have to go on the paper.
At 15-18 months, he did enjoy throwing the TaDoodles, which was a problem for the infamous and aforementioned green crayon. This crayon broke and for the life of me I can not reinsert it because the rest of the crayon is still stuck in the base. So, he only has 2 colors instead of 3 now.
The shape of the crayon is part of the natural developing way a child grasps objects. It’s the same idea as hodling a spoon with a fist, etc. Once the child is shown how to hold the crayon it should be very natural for him.
