Huge hit!

I bought this for my 8 month old who was just starting to show signs of walking readiness and I was a little concerned due to some of the negative reviews but still decided to take a risk since it seemed to have more bang for the buck (since it also is a ride-on). I am so pleased that I did!

My daughter loves it and was able to use it rather well right from the start! I have wood laminate floors and I was worried it would take off like a shot but that has never been a problem. She can just as easily control it on the laminate as she can the carpet. She has also never had a problem with the design of the wheels (others mentioned it being awkward).

It easily transforms from one style to the other and assembled easily.

When it is in the ride-on mode it sits low enough that after the first couple of tries she could easily get herself on and off without me worrying about spills. And since it can hold up to 40 pounds my 4 year old can also ride around on it when he gets the whim.

Overall I can find no fault with this toy and highly recommend it.

Great Walk ‘n Ride!

For the price, this walk and ride toy is great! It was pretty easy to put together and has plenty of little odds and ends on it for little ones to play with and it bright and colorful. My son loves it!

WOW! What a GREAT toy!

I first encountered this toy in a doctor’s office and was amazed by its popularity. My 18 month-old son loved it as did ALL of the other kids in the office — from about 9 mos to 5 years. The kids could not get enough of this toy. I got it for our own home, and its popularity remains high. I have given it as a birthday gift, and it has been a winner in those homes as well. The kids really do play with it endlessly. On that note, though, please know that this toy makes some NOISE, so if you are a person who can’t stand noisy toys, this is NOT the toy for your house.

What colorful, musical fun!

Our 20 month old played with this at a friend’s house and didn’t want to put it away, which is not like her since she bores easily with most toys. We purchased one for her and the moment she sets it down to play, her face lights up, she squeals with delight when she presses the big red ball to start the action, and then once the balls start popping in the air, she is overjoyed.

The colorful balls are placed in the chute on top of the unit, then as they slide down the ramp, the air popper forces them up through the top hole and they pop around like popcorn! We watch our daughter laugh and have a blast with this toy all the time, but she is learning so much from it as well. First she learned cause and effect when pushing the red lever to start the machine. She learned that the music will not start until the balls begin moving. Next she learned where to place the balls, and how to catch them if they scooted away, and finally she learned words like BALL, STOP, OUT, PLAY, DANCE just from the repetition of the activities. The fun music reminds me of a circus parade and several songs randomly play while the popper is activated.

Storage is a snap since it’s heavy enough to stay upright while playing, and light enough to grab and go when it’s time to clean up. There are three main pieces that an adult has to screw together, and though a child might be able to pry off the top piece, it easily snaps back into place. Just don’t lift it from the top piece and you shouldn’t have a problem.

I recommend this toy for babies who are able to sit up unassisted so that an adult can help them play with the balls, but highly recommend it for walking toddlers since they will love chasing after the balls.

This is one cool toy. Being a baby boomer, I like to show my grandson some of the things that were cool when I was growing up. What better way to do that than with an updated version of the original! He loves it, and I’ll bet someday he’s trying to locate an updated version of this to show his grandson!

Optimus toy

My son-in-law collects these super hero Mr. Potato Head figures and he was thrilled with it. I buy them when I find them first. I know my grandson will love the collection, too. There was a war over it the other day when a two-year-old son of his cousin came to visit and wanted to play with it. It was on display. My grandson wouldn’t have anything to do with that. He is two and still a bit possessive. It all ended with tears. I know it will be enjoyed.

My daughter’s favorite toy!

My daughter Hannah received this as a gift for her first birthday. She loves the music and presses the button to just listen to it play. We didn’t think she’d figure out the gears, but she absolutely loves it! she takes the gears off and puts them back on! She totes them around the house in her little basket, and then brings them back to put on the toy. She’ll sit in front of this toy for 20 minutes at a time, walk away and then come back to play some more.
My only issue is that the gears are starting to get lost around our house. Hasbro should provide a few extra gears for when the first few get lost. Overall a terrific toy!!

A definite must have!!!!!!!

My son received this toy for his first birthday! I will be purchasing it as gifts for all my friends!! He LOVES pushing the button and listening the the music. I was wondering if he would be able to figure out the gears, but he has caught on very quickly and loves to take the gears off and put them back on. He also enjoys stacking the gears up and watching them go around! I like that it has a handle so he can carry it around with him. It keeps him involved for up to 20 minutes at a time!
It is very durable as he carries it around, has chewed on the gears (which are made of strong plastic and cannot be marred by chewing on them).

My three year old also likes to play with it! Her play is a little sofisticated with it as she tries to figure out which gears have to be put where (as in, do they have to be next to the middle spinning one) placed to make them spin and how many can be stacked and they still turn.

My one wish is that Playskool would include a few extra gears. We have them everyhwere in our house and cannot always find them all. It would be great if they had a place where you could purchase extra ones for replacements and/or to have extras for stacking.

This is an awesome toy that the kids love, can learn from, and is very durable! It is a must have!!

Great toy for little ones

We have two of these – one for each of my children. My younger one likes it because it is easy to use. Yes, it does tip forward when you put weight in the bucket, but the kids work around that. My older one (now three) still plays with this toy because the bucket is big enough to put a bunch of little things like letter blocks or small toys or dirt in and really be able to move the cargo.
It is also easy to clean. Rinse it off in the sink (make sure you get underneath) and let it air dry.

Great fun!

My son received this for his 2nd birthday. He is all boy and loves trucks, tractors, anything that moves. This toy is one that he plays with often and has endured alot with no sign of breaking. The “boulders” are extra added fun and the “click” noise is a fun little addition. There is a button on the steering wheel that looks like a horn, but does not make any noise (which would be a great little addition, I think). All in all, it has survived 4 months of rough and tumble play and is still going strong. The size is also a really nice size too – not too big or too small, about medium.
