I was just surfing one day while I was on the phone with her and told her to get on Amazon and look at this one. She was so excited she said that’s it. So I ordered it for my grandson’s 2nd B/day right then. He LOVES it!

Bought this for my son’s 1st b-day. It was one of the only tool sets that I could find that was age appropriate. The recommended age is 18 mo. and up and most other toys are 3 yrs. and older. I was concerned it would be too advanced for him, but he LOVES it! He is a very active boy and few toys keep his attention for more than a few minutes, but he will play with this toy for 15-30 minutes at a time. He really enjoys the shape sorter, nail/hammer function and the drill.
I think that the manufacturer has improved the design since earlier reviews. Based on a few reviews, I was concerned that the screws may be a choking hazard, however on my set, the screws CANNOT be removed. Unfortunately, they didn’t make any other improvements (molded insert to hold the tools or making the drill actually move – why I gave it 4 stars). Yes, the noise is a bit loud – but I would say it’s equal to other electronic toys. I put a piece of masking tape over the speaker and it dulls it to just the right volume.
Overall, this is a fabulous toy. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter also enjoys playing with it, so I am sure we’ll get years of use. It is also a great on-the-go travel toy.

I bought this toy for my 15mth old son. He loves it. He carries it everywhere. He love the sounds and the drill. He loves to work on things with his daddy. In previous comments regarding the storage and noise, it does take a bit to get the tools back in but not hard once you figure it out, and the noise is minimal compared to other toys. I would buy this for a friend. That is how great I think it is and the price is good too.

My 4 year old son loves this toy and he plays with it almost every day since he got it. He stuffs in his other small toys as well and sends them to the space. It is a well constructed and durable toy, my only complaint is that the lower door keeps popping off.

This was so worth the money. I bought this two years ago for my now 3-year-old. We have hardwood floors. Add those together and most toys would easy break under such conditions, but this toy has withstood many MANY hours of play.

I’m very “anti-loud-flashy-obnoxious-toys,” but even though this makes noise it’s at a very acceptable volume (on the low setting!) and not some annoying song about counting or something like most FP toys. I got this for my son for his 3rd birthday, and he loves it. The handle is great for him to drive it around and the countdown really excites him! I love to find toys like this that are durable and not made of a million cheap pieces, because I feel safe having my 9 month old around it too. My only complaint is the bottom hatch, where the moon buggy parks, is really hard to open and my son can’t do it at all.

We got this for my daughter when she was about a year old and at 15 months she is still playing with it. I can’t say she is using them as intended — she doesn’t care that there is a specific spot for each egg. But she loves to pull them out, squeak them, shake them, etc. It is one of the first thing she pulls out of her toy box. And, as an added bonus, my husband and I both find putting this toy away enjoyable. It feels like we are able to impose a tiny bit of order in our day!

My 2-yr-old enjoyed playing with these as soon as she received them for her birthday. They have a variety of activities, so could probably be used from 18 months onward. The ‘peep’ is very quiet, which is a nice feature for me ( would be harder for younger children to produce the sound). She likes to put all the eggs into a real egg carton which I saved for this purpose. Fun and educational.

I bought this for my then 3 year old. He loves to crack eggs, so this was perfect for him. He was a little disappointed that the little “chicks” don’t come out of their shells, but he still has had lots of fun playing with the eggs, matching up the shells with the chicks’ expressions, and matching the shapes on the bottoms of the shells into the proper space in the carton. It kept his interest for a number of miles on a long car trip.

Adorable, until the batteries run out! Buyers, beware! This toy is hysterical … funny sounds, great waddles, and lots of fun. However, its batteries CANNOT be replaced, which means the toy is worthless in terms of sound once the batteries run out. This was a big disappointment for me, as TOMY typically makes really great toys. Also, watch how you store it in the toy box, as the red connectors are easily twisted, which prevents the ducks from following in a straight line.

If improvements were made, it would be a perfect toy! My sister bought this toy for our 14 month old son. He loves it, however some things about it drove us nuts! The first thing was the volume of the quacking. We opened up the duck and duct taped both the speaker and the hole that the sound came out of. First problems solved. Second, the ducks fall over very easily, making our son very upset. (yet another type of noise issue) We added oversized primary beads along the string which kept a heavier low center of gravity to the ducks as they are being pulled and kept the string from getting around the wheel axles. This eliminated much of the falling over, but not all of it. If Tomy would change the wheel width so the ducks wouldn’t be so unstable, and add a volume control to it so they weren’t so loud, this would be nearly a perfect toy!

25 Month Old Loves It

My 25 month old daughter loves this toy. If you are a parent who plays with their child, you will too. This is a poor choice of toy to just hand to a child; it requires interactive play, at least initially. The case is a bit fragile, though. A small purse/bag works just as well as a substitute doctor’s bag.

A fun kit

We purchased this set for my almost 2-year old son. It’s a good kit for getting going with role-playing and pretend play. (My son likes to administer shots to his “sick” mom!). But, I have two complaints. The closures on the carry case come off easily, and they are much easier for a 2-year old to take off than they are for an adult to put on. Plus, the batteries on the stethoscope died very quickly relative to the amount of use.

My daughter loves playing doctor with this kit. The size of the items are perfect for little hands. She plays with her dolls and stuffed animals, giving them exams and pretending they are sick. She even took it to the doctor’s office for her last visit and was more cooperative for the doctor knowing what he would do. All the pieces fit nicely in a small carrier for easy travel.

Never Leaves Home Without It

Got this for my daughter 2nd birthday (about 3 months ago). Like many other little girls she has had a fascination with purses for a long time. She even had a real one she’d take out for a while. I had been waiting to find a better, more fun, (and safer) toy one. This one is fantastic!

I love how it has all the essential contents of a purse. My daughter carries it on her arm when we go out. She pretends to put on the “lipstick” and even started “sliding” the “debit card” in between the keys of her toddler piano!

I think any toy that encourages imaginative, pretend play is educational. And of course imitating Mommy is lots of fun and lets lttle ones feel grown up.

I bought this for my daughter when she was 16 months old and she just loved it! She takes the purse every where with her it’s the perfect size and the pieces inside of it are big so you don’t have to worry about them choking on it. I looked every where for a purse like this one, it has a lot of the same items my purse has so she likes to take her lipstick out when I do and pretend she’s talking on the phone when I’m on mine. I heartily recommend this toy. My son (9 months old now) got this toy for Christmas when he was 6 months old. He has loved this drum. He plays with it almost every day and has learned cause and effect from it as well as just enjoying the banging. I like the fact that it has a lower volume button as most baby toys are too noisy. He has lots of toys (he is a third child) but really enjoys this one!

FUN FUN TOY

This is a very entertaining toy! We’ve had it for several months and it’s played with daily. There are different sounds, tunes and lights that keep my son interested. One button plays short Caribbean-sounding melodies; it’s very cute and not annoying like a lot of baby toys. Volume control is good.

This is, hands down, the best gift we have received in our son’s first year of life. He has not tired of it in months, he dances like crazy to the songs (which are actually really good), and it entertains him more than the exersaucer when I need to make dinner, etc. I cannot recommend this enough. Love this toy! Animal “pins” are easy for little guys(‘n’gals) to set up, AND knock down. And furniture (and people) is (are) safe from overactive or poorly aimed throws. Great for building motor skills, and the “pins” are really cute. I also liked that they are numbered, as this gives game possibilities room to grow. Great for him (or her) to play alone or with you. We need more toys like this!!!

So darn cute!

My 19 month-old son got this as a gift from his great-grandmother. In the three weeks since it arrived at the house, he has been walking around with one or more of the pins under his arm. He takes them to bed with him and I can hear him over the monitor making kissing noises with them. Suffice it to say, he LOVES it. My 5 month-old is starting to love it as well (especially the cow). I would recommend it for any baby or toddler, especially an affectionate one.

My 20 months old daughter loves them. She learned cause and effect with these animal pins. She realized that she can throw the ball and knock the pins down with out having to use her hands. She also learned all the numbers up to 6, and associated them with the animals. Her favorite color is blue, and her favorite animal is a dog. In this game the dog happens to be blue, and his number is 5. So, of course her favorite number is now, 5.
When she looks for the pins, she reffers to them as “Puppy Five”. “Duck Six” is her second favorite, and so on so forth. Very cool!
